In the spring of 2009, I had the opportunity to pay homage to the field and players at the then PGE Park. As a fan of vintage league photos, emblems, and jerseys, I leapt at the chance to start applying pen to paper for the project. While I started with a provided reference image, my creative process led me toward an illustrative style. Drawing inspiration from the team's previous parks and incorporating their uniform colors, the end result was a complimentary game day poster for kids.
